Rolex Daytona, Vintage Omega Speedmaster, De Bethune & Reservoir Watches; Dark Side of The Moon

http://www.watchtimeevents.com (Register to join Tim in LA on May 3-4) http://swee.ps/jdjOtseVX (Win a Rolex Milgauss 116400GV: International Sweepstakes + USA!) “Watches Live” with Tim Mosso returns with a thrilling array of luxury watches from leading watch brands and all luxury watch product categories. Vintage Tudor and Omega sports watches in stainless steel lead the line of dive watches, dress watches, motorsports chronographs, and pilot’s watches. Reservoir Watches of France makes its "Watchbox Reviews" debut with the Reservoir Supercharged Classic, a stainless steel compound complication with retrograde minutes, jump hour, and power reserve indicator. Needless to say, Tim has covered this brand exhaustively since its arrival two years ago, and he's a big fan of the Reservoir watch brand. The Rolex Daytona appears as watch buyers rarely see it – with full Rolex Oysterflex bracelet, white gold case, ceramic bezel, and diamond-set mother of pearl dial. A vintage Rolex Turn-o-Graph with mobile bezel and original radium dial provides a nostalgic reminder of Rolex’s grand past alongside the present-day Cosmograph Daytona. Omega watches feature prominently in tonight’s live stream. The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of The Moon “Black Black” from Baselworld 2015 is present and correct alongside one of the stars of Baselworld 2013, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT. As with Rolex, a vintage Omega Speedmaster 125th Anniversary limited edition chronometer chronograph from 1973 is on hand to demonstrate the enduring charm of Omega’s vintage sports watches. Independent brands including H. Moser & Cie., De Bethune, and Devon Works of California are present to represent smaller watchmakers with distinctive styles. The Moser Pioneer Center Seconds is a swimmable sports watch from Schaffhausen Switzerland that takes the fight to its larger neighbor, IWC. A Moser Venturer Big Date Purity showcases the charm of Moser’s signature fume dials – here in “Funky Blue.” The De Bethune DB28 Kind of Blue boasts spaceship style and a remarkable in-house manual wind caliber with 6-day power reserve plus shock protection, balance wheel, hairspring, and escape wheel fabricated in-house by Denis Flageollet’s team of scientist-watchmakers. De Bethune’s signature “floating lugs” prove that even this large DB28 can wear easily on a smaller wrist such as Tim’s Finally, the Devon Tread 2 “Shining” chronograph proves that even the United States is a player in modern luxury horology. As the second watch from California-based Devon Works, the Tread 2 is a tonneau case electro-mechanical timekeeper with thermos-compensated quartz caliber, two drive motors, ruby bearings, two nylon-fiberglass time belts, and optical sensors to keep the belts aligned to the correct time. Devon ties all of this aerospace-derived componentry together with a microprocessor and rechargeable lithium ion battery. It’s the Tesla Model 3 of luxury watches. • A.
