Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 46 Luxury Watch Review

http://www.thewatchbox.com/watches/breitling The Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 46mm channels the spirit of Breitling's pioneering 1950s and 1960s dive watch classics. Based on the style benchmark of the first Breitling model 1004 Superocean, the Superocean Heritage is modern dive watch whose bloodlines are swimming with sea salt. Since 2007, Breitling has produced the Superocean "Heritage" line alongside its standard Superocean models in order to satisfy collectors who prefer the size and durability of modern watches with the style and enduring appeal of time-tested vintage designs. The Breitling Superocean Heritage lineup is inspired by the circa-1958 Breitling model 1004, the first Superocean dive watch. Its simple silvered dial, legibility, and distinctive "broad arrow" hour hand come roaring back to life within the Superocean Heritage Chronograph 46mm's imposing steel case. The new watch's minimalist lugs, simple indexed bezel, and contrasting-stitch alligator strap complete the revival. With its versatile two-tone coloration, the Superocean Heritage Chronograph 46 appears equally at home alongside a business suit or bathing suit. While the owner will want to switch to a rubber strap or bracelet before hitting the waves, the enhanced elegance of the alligator strap allows this vintage-style dive chronograph to hold its own against true dress watches when matched with a large wrist. On any wrist, the supple calf-skin underside lining of the strap is a pleasure to experience. Breitling’s “Heritage” case is true to history. The no-guard flank enables effortless access to the screw-down crown, and vintage-style pump pushers operate without the encumbrance of screw-down fixtures. Despite these old-school measures, the Heritage Chronograph 46mm still boasts 200 meters of water resistance. Inside the 46mm stainless steel case, Breitling's Superocean Heritage Chronograph features a COSC-certified Swiss Chronometer Caliber 13. The automatic movement is based on the bombproof ETA/Valjoux 7750, and it features a stop seconds feature to permit precise synchronization to a reference time such as an atomic clock. When combined with the unidirectional dive bezel, this chronograph can be used to time two simultaneous events See this neo-classic Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 46mm dive watch and all accessories in high-resolution images on www.thewatchbox.com.
