Über Radiomir 1940
The Panerai Radiomir 1940 collection draws inspiration from the brand’s military watches that were designed for the Royal Italian Navy in the 1940s and 50s. In 2012, Panerai released two limited-edition models in red gold and stainless. Only 100 pieces of references PAM00399 and PAM00398 were released, now making them hard to come by. While this collection shares a name with Radiomir, the two families have some very noticeable differences. Radiomir 1940 watches feature a cushion-shaped case, thick fixed lugs, flat cylindrical crown, sharp corners, and a thicker bezel. Watches in the Radiomir collection have wire lugs, large flared crowns, thinner bezels, and rounded corners.
