Buying with BitPay

BitPay is the largest Bitcoin and Ethereum payment processor in the world, serving industry-leading merchants on six continents. WatchBox is empowering users to purchase their luxury timepieces by spending their cryptocurrency.

How will it work?

Over the Phone

  1. A customer will need to request to the Client Advisor they are working with that they are interested in paying with cryptocurrency.
  2. Once the final price of the watch or watches have been agreed upon, WatchBox will email an invoice to the customer.
  3. The invoice received via email will contain a QR code, which the customer can scan from their existing mobile wallet.
  4. From there, the customer can then pay the invoice from their personal crypto wallet.

Via Checkout

  1. While completing the checkout process within the cart, a customer can select BitPay as their payment method.
  2. From there they will enter their email address and then select 'finalize payment'.
  3. The customer will then be taken to BitPay.com to view the invoice and will be prompted to sign into their BitPay account.
  4. If the customer does not have an existing BitPay account, they will need to create one, which includes the uploading of a driver's license.
  5. Once approved, the customer will select which currency they would like to pay with and BitPay will display their invoice.
  6. Finally, the customer can scan the the payment code and pay within their personal mobile wallet to complete the transaction.

One thing to note is that there is a 15 minute window for this entire process. After the 15 minutes have passed, WatchBox has to generate a new invoice.

Customers will need to have existing mobile wallets as well as existing funds within those mobile wallets. BitPay accepts the following currencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, XRP, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Stable Coins (PAX, BUSD, USDC, GUSD). Partial Payment - If the amount paid is less than the amount expected then the invoice is marked as being partially paid. Partially paid invoice are not credited to the merchant and instead automatically refunded to the customer.

Paid Over: If the amount paid is greater than the amount expected then the invoice is marked as being overpaid. The overpaid amount on an invoice is not credited to the merchant and instead automatically refunded to the customer.
