Auction Results | Patek Philippe, F.P. Journe, & More | What They Mean for the Future | Market Wrap

Mike Manjos is back in Philly (as always!). This time (as promised last week) he reviews the watch auctions and provides analysis of what these results mean for the future of a few major brands. First off, though, Manjos shows the select standout watches. Beginning with the Rolex Yacht-Master on Oysterflex bracelet - this is the perfect summer watch. He also hits on the Rolex Datejust with tuxedo dial - one of his favorite configurations that we do not see often enough. Manjos caps us off with the Patek Philippe Annual Calendar (5960P) with deep blue dial - A majorly impressive timepiece. The main story of the week focuses around the Geneva watch auctions. Manjos kept his eyes focused on the Patek Philippe pieces to determine if they'd retain their strength in the market...and they did not disappoint! The 5074R Perpetual Calendar Minute Repeater is especially one to note. He was also happy to see his favorite brand, A. Lange & Sohne, and the Odysseus go for record high prices. Along with that, F.P. Journe Tourbillon and Chronometre pieces continue their meteoric rise and lead the remarkable charge in this market.
