And that spirit lives in this Omega Seamaster Professional 300M Chronograph. It's got the Bond factor, but it packs refinements that even Q-branch would envy; 007 never reported for duty with a chronograph. Having been produced for only a brief 1994-1996 model run, this watch is more than a stunner; it’s a rarity. But with a stunning combination of titanium, 18-karat rose gold, and ultra-dense tantalum, this Seamaster might be better suited to a Bond villain. Auric Goldfinger would have rolled with nothing but 18k, and it’s safe to say Ernesto Blofeld would have preferred a truly megalomaniacal accessory (Patek 6002, anyone?). This Seamaster “TiTanRau” combines equal measures of flamboyant flair and no-nonsense execution; arch henchman Emilio Largo of “Thunderball” fame gets the nod. Triple tones and three metals define this watch. Its primary case structure, most bracelet links, and the entire clasp are wrought from titanium. The distinctive gunmetal grey offers a stark contrast with the warmth and bright luster of the rose gold. Tantalum’s visual signature lies between the others; the ultra-dense metal plays lighter than Ti but more subdued than gold. This Omega Seamaster Chronograph Diver features all of the hallmarks of the “Bond” Seamasters – and more. Its elegant gold skeleton hands, circular hour indices, “blue wave” dial base, and “lollypop” seconds hand are iconic to fans of the series. But this “blue wave” is a breed apart, and its metallic radiance is a world removed from the matte blue of Pierce Brosnan’s old standby. Exotica abounds on this dial from the metallic base to the gilt-style golden print. A chronograph is a difference-maker for any sports watch. The king of complications, enthusiasts never cease to marvel at the simple pleasure of commanding mechanical stopwatch. With a mechanical chronograph in hand, even 5-minute breaks between business meetings secretly become countdowns to the GoldenEye detonation. Naturally, you won't admit a word of this to your colleagues, but rest assured that the guy with the Rolex Daytona in the corner is too preoccupied measuring his inter-office "lap times" to pass judgment on you... All of the traditional James Bond Seamaster toys are present and reporting for duty: COSC Swiss Chronometer certification, unidirectional rotating dive bezel; skeleton hands; helium release valve, rock-solid clasp with dive extension, and the most supple bracelet in the business.
