FAQs.

  • How are watches shipped, and are they insured in transit?
  • Insurance for full replacement value is included on all shipments of watches and accessories. An adult signature is required to complete delivery of all packages. Please see our WATCH PARTNERS page for details of our preferred shipping partners and insurance providers.

  • Does WatchBox have a traditional retail storefront?
  • We have a lounge located at Suite 1402, 14/F, 1 Duddell Street. please feel free to visit us. If you would like to book a private appointment, please contact us at (+852) 5804-3363

  • How do I know whether your watches are authentic?
  • All of the watches advertised on WatchBox are guaranteed to be authentic with manufacturer serial and reference numbers intact. Through the course of our 15 years in business, we have never sold a fake watch, even accidentally. Selling even a single fake watch would ruin a reputation we have been building since 2001. Moreover, the authenticity of our watches is guaranteed indefinitely for as long as a customer owns the watch.

Our watches are sourced directly or indirectly from authorized dealers whom we trust and have been dealing with regularly for years. They are, like us, members of the IWJG (International Watch & Jewelry Guild). By dealing only with trusted sources who never deface or remove serial numbers, we ensure that each and every new watch is authentic.

When purchasing high-quality pre-owned watches, we strive to buy only from collectors, especially those with whom our company has a long-term working relationship. Each pre-owned watch we receive goes through a rigorous inspection process and is checked against an authentication database or known counterfeits. Moreover, each watch that is considered for purchase by our company is subjected to the scrutiny of our factory-certified master watchmakers. Please visit our AUTHENTICATION and PROCESS service page for full details of our authentication and assessment measures.

  • Does WatchBox accept trades?

  • WatchBox accepts trades involving timepieces of greater, lesser, and equal value. The difference will be credited toward a client's purchase of greater value than the trade or forwarded in the form of payment accompanying a chosen watch of lesser value than the trade-in. Preliminary trade-in values can be conveyed via phone and email contact, but all timepieces must be inspected, authenticated, and appraised by WatchBox's specialist team before ultimate trade value can be specified. Please see our WATCH TRADES service page for full details.

  • Why do some of your prices sound "too good to be true"?
  • We look for the best deals we can find on quality watches, and have been doing so since 2001; we are well connected. WatchBox's experience, network of partners, and economies of scale ensure that we are able to obtain the best prices for inventory and pass the savings to our clientele. We buy closeouts, overstocks, end runs, etc. from stores and factory distributors. We are not an "authorized retailer" of our watches because doing so would restrict us from offering a comprehensive range of brands and industry-leading discounts from retail pricing. When buying a watch pre-owned in "as-new" condition from WatchBox, the only difference between us and the "authorized retailer" is that ours are backed by our ninety day warranty versus the manufacturer’s warranty.

  • What does BNIB mean?
  • BNIB stands for Brand New In Box. These are watches that come as if they were being purchased from an authorized dealer. This means they come with hang tags, boxes, warranty papers, extra straps, factory stickers, and any applicable tools. In certain cases, WatchBox is able to obtain and offer these watches with executed and valid factory warranty cards.

  • What does As-New mean?
  • "As-New" is representative of a watch that has neither been taken out of its original packaging nor ever been worn. The watch retains the factory stickers and has almost everything - if not everything - that comes with it when purchasing directly from an authorized dealer. In certain cases, WatchBox is able to obtain and offer these watches with executed and valid factory warranty cards.
