Tim opens with a sensational Blancpain Fifty Fathoms X Fathoms 5018. The Fifty Fathoms 5018 includes a double depth gauge with maximum depth memory, a flyback decompression chronograph, a five-day power reserve, a helium escape valve, a diving bezel capped with sapphire, a 55mm titanium case, and an enormous gauntlet-style strap with double ardillon buckle. Vacheron Constantin offers a gentler take on high horology with its Vacheron Constantin Malte Chronograph Perpetual Calendar 47112 in yellow gold with hunter caseback. The Rolex GMT-Master II 116710 BLNR “Batman” leads a line of three Rolex watches including a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116523 and a Yacht-Master 16653. Omega watches are represented by an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Apollo XVII 45th anniversary tribute to Gene Cernan; this 2017 Omega Speedmaster limited edition came in a series of 1,972 pieces in stainless steel. A rare Patek Philippe 5970R chronograph perpetual calendar in rose gold is present to provide a comparison and contrast with its counterpart from Vacheron Constantin an alternative for fans of Geneva’s foremost house of high horology. A vintage Heuer Skipper 11063 regatta timer provides an antidote to our parade of late model luxury watches, and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo Grande Taille offers a break from conventional round case watches. German-Swiss watchmaking is present and correct in the form of an H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Center Second, and Japanese watchmaking completes the non-francophone contingent thanks to a Seiko Sportura SLQ019 kinetic chronograph limited edition of 2,005 pieces. For good measure, we’ve added a watch that can speak for itself in the form of a Vulcain Cricket. In military fashion, Officine Panerai brings up the rear with a Luminor Submersible 1950 3-Days PAM 507 Bronzo.
