The Iron Man’s Timepiece of Choice

Now that the Iron Man 3 has finally reached theaters it is interesting to see Iron Man’s alter ego – Tony Stark’s, timepiece of choice. In this sequel, Tony Stark’s preferred timepiece of choice is the new <a href="/watches/jaeger-lecoultre/jaeger-lecoultre-amvox/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AMV0X5 </a>World Chronograph.

Being as Tony Stark/Iron Man is a billionaire playboy and genius scientist, the modern, but dressy <a href="/watches/jaeger-lecoultre/jaeger-lecoultre-amvox/">AMVOX</a> watches are a great choice; and the watch looks equally as good when actor Robert Downey Jr. is off screen. Also, for a Hollywood star that travels around the world and a superhero who does a lot of traveling to save the world, a AMV0X5 GMT and world time chrono is a perfect timepiece to wear.
What most people do not know is that The Amvox Chronograph is a collaboration between <a href="/watches/jaeger-lecoultre/">Jaeger LeCoultre</a> and Aston Martin. Therefore, like most of the Amvox collection, dials and straps are reminiscent of Aston Martin car panels and leather upholstery. In this case, The dial is inspired by an Aston Martin grill, with a slight view of the movement within. The high-tech 44mm ceramic case is a blend of zirconium and yttrium oxides, that’s exposed to extreme pressure and temperatures before being formed with special diamond-tipped tools.
One of the best AMVOX models, in my opinion, is the second generation watch in the collection. The AMVOX2 set new standards in its partnership with Aston Martin and introduced the vertical trigger chronograph. This ingenious mechanism makes it possible to start, stop and reset the chronograph simply by pressing on the sapphire crystal of the watch case, so there is no need for any push buttons. A limited series in titanium and steel, AMVOX2 Chronograph Concept brings together daring design and powerful performance, making it the ultimate driver’s and super hero watch.
The wearer of an AMVOX2 Chronograph Concept will be able to trigger and disengage the chronograph function  by pressing on the sapphire crystal at the 12 o’clock position.
These stylized watches with their beautifully crafted legible dials and accents add a touch of elegance. This is the perfect watch for any “superhuman.”
