The vintage watch's 35mm has been enlarged to 38.5mm, but the essential proportions remain alongside the signature "cow horn" lugs. Inside this Vacheron Constantin chronograph, caliber 1142 keeps the time. This manual wind chronograph movement is based on the Lemania 2310 ebauch previously used by Omega, Patek Philippe, and Breguet, but the caliber has been upgraded from a beat rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour to 21,600. The caliber 1142 includes a Geneva Hallmark and related finishing of components. This column wheel chronograph caliber uses a free sprung balance architecture over a wheel equipped with a Breguet overcool hairspring. The column wheel features a black polished Maltese cross motif in honor of Vacheron Constantin's corporate signature. The 48-hour power reserve is wound by manual means. The Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes De Vache 1955 5000H/000P-058 Les Historiques collection is encased in 38.5mm of platinum surrounding a silver dial on a black alligator leather strap. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, and chronograph. The watch also measures mm in thickness and mm from lug-to-lug. For complete details, watch the full review!
