Vacheron Constantin Jubilee 1755 Limited Edition Luxury Watch Review

Watchuwant is now WatchBox! Subscribe for the best luxury watch content. How do you celebrate a quarter-millennium of "good times?" If you're Vacheron Constantin, you mint the Vacheron Constantin Jubilee 1755 Day-Date limited edition. One of only 501 rose gold pieces created in 2005 to mark 250 years of the manufacture, this Jubilee 1755 is the culmination of two-and-a-half centuries of haut-de-gamme savoir fair. At 40mm, the Jubilee 1755 is neither undersized nor oversized. Its proportions are modern, but its details recall the finest elements of Vacheron Constantin's impressive patrimony. Sumptuous lugs with sharp creases, sinuous curves, and strong character define the limits of the case. A stepped bezel with micro-coining sits atop a voluptuous convex case flank. Vacheron Constantin endows the Jubilee 1755 with an intricate dial that boast depth, color, texture, and vivacity. Complex rose-lathe guilloche articulates the silvered dial base, and lush rose gold applied indices define the hour track. At five o'clock a Geneva city crest pays tribute to the historic home of Vacheron Constantin, and three sub-dials trace the progress of day, date, and 43-hour power reserve. That power supply is energized by a gold winding rotor blazon with "clous de Paris" guilloche and perched atop the in-house caliber 2475 movement. Launched specifically for the Jubilee year of 2005, the 2450 series of movements from which this caliber derives represented the first modern Vacheron Constantin automatic movements, and their finish is exquisite. Cotes de Geneve stripes, mirror-grade anglage, and polished screws set this Geneva Seal movement apart from the merely handsome calibers pedaled by rival brands. Efficient unidirectional winding keeps the party rolling long after the Jubilee year has passed. Besides, quality of this "caliber" is destined to see more Vacheron Constantin Jubilee events in 25, 50, and 75 year's time. Relieve the party of the (2.5) centuries with this rose gold 40mm Vacheron Constantin Jubilee 1755 limited edition of 501 pieces.
