Cartier Calibre De Cartier: A Compelling Trio

Launched in 2010, the elegant and sporty Calibre De Cartier collection showcased the brand’s first in-house calibers. Prior to this, Cartier used movements from other luxury manufacturers like Jaeger Le-Coultre. Today, the since discontinued collection is most famous for its wide array of complications and functions including chronographs, tourbillons, perpetual calendars, stop watch, and date display. Additionally, the collection is home to three separate sub-collections including the flagship Calibre De Cartier, as well as the water-resistant Calibre De Cartier Diver and impressive Calibre De Cartier Chronograph.

Some of the collection’s most recognizable features include its modern, round case shape, iconic Roman numerals, and a blue faceted spinel on the crown—a selection of models replace this feature with a diamond instead. Many cases measure 42mm which references the collection’s sporty nature, and smaller 38mm iterations are available for versatile unisex options. For those who love to indulge in materials, the Calibre De Cartier is available in stainless steel, as well as white, pink, and yellow gold.
