Rolex Hulk: A Colorful New Addition
The Rolex Hulk’s nickname derives from its big, green appearance, forever connecting two icons from Marvel and Rolex. A versatile and stylish luxury sports watch, this Submariner quickly became a collector phenomenon and Rolex fan favorite. Celebrities like Robert Downey Jr. and Matt LeBlanc even added this modern timepiece to their collections.
Watch collectors and enthusiasts alike love the Rolex Hulk’s distinctive green color, going from bright to dark green depending on lighting. This model also features luminescent hour markers for a touch of contrast. The large case was constructed with durable stainless steel that the Submariner family is known for. Going Rogue with the Rolex Hulk
The Rolex Hulk Reference 116610LV was debuted as the heir to the beloved Rolex “Kermit”, Reference 16610LV. While the Rolex Hulk was not the first green Submariner, it was the first timepiece with a green bezel and dial. Rolex previously released Submariners with black or blue dials, but never in green. Colored bezels were rare to find in 2010, and the introduction of the Hulk was the first time Rolex’s proprietary ceramic, Cerachrom, was rendered in green. This material allows for the flawless execution of colored bezels, reducing the potential for color fading over time. Rolex recently retired the Rolex Hulk with September 2020 updates to the Submariner family and replaced it with the 41mm 126610LV.
