A Statement of Their Own

As the luxury watch market continues to grow, many enthusiasts and collectors look for new ways to expand their collection and diversify their portfolio of timepieces — and independent watches help satisfy that desire. Many of these pieces showcase new and interesting styles, incorporating refreshing concepts and movements that are rarely seen among big name brands. Learn more about several of the most compelling independents in the industry, and see why collectors are itching to own their work.

F.P. Journe

Named after its founder François-Paul Journe, the brand presented its first collection of watches in 1999. Today, Journe is considered a living legend and is one of the most beloved independent watchmakers in the world, boasting an annual production of just 800 to 900 watches a year. In 2005, they launched their artistic concept laboratory with the goal of bringing watchmaking professionals together to develop radical watches like the Horological and Legacy Machines.
