Maîtres du Temps
Maîtres du Temps is a horological concept conceived by Steven Holtzman that fosters the collaboration of master watchmakers from across the industry to develop exclusive, technically exciting timepieces. Holtzman began his career in horology over 25 years ago, and his passion for watchmaking spurred the brand’s debut timepiece, called Chapter One. Chapter One unites the talents of Christophe Claret and Peter Speake-Marin, and features a world-first combination of tourbillon, mono-pusher column wheel chronograph, retrograde date and GMT, as well as a moonphase display and the day of the week on rollers. Since then, two more collaborative timepieces have been created, similarly named Chapter Two and Chapter Three. Chapter Two pairs the talents of Daniel Roth and Peter Speake-Marin, and presents the world’s most legible triple calendar display. Chapter Three Reveal was created by Kari Voutilainen and Andreas Strehler. Aesthetically elegant and technically complex, Chapter Three Reveal features a second timezone and day/night indication hidden under the dial. The level of technical and design sophistication achieved by Maîtres du Temps is the result of the right combination of people sharing a bold vision.
